i am brewing Brewers Best Imperial Blonde Ale today and i am wondering about dry hopping. should i dry hop and if so , do i brew with the hops and get more after primary or do i hold back some hops and save till after primary. this is my 3rd batch. 1st batch was brewers best witbier which wasnt that great. 2nd is fat tire clone which is in bottle conditioning. we are all bud light/ corona type drinkers and i am trying to find a beer to suit all. all information and recomendations are appreciated.

How much hops to do have to play with, which kinds?

Make sure you use enough to get the right amount of bittering for what your target is. I've dryhopped with just a half an oz of cascade leaf mixed with some citra and came out awesome. You can add right to your primary, just make sure it is after 7-10 days of fermenting. Also, if you use leaf or whole hops use a nylon or muslin bag or racking later will be tough.

I'm not sure for a blonde ale. Since cascade is used as flavor and aroma hops, you can't go wrong with them as a dry hop. I just don't know that blonde ales are typically dry hopped, so it might be a little hoppier than the style calls for. In the end though, make what you like.

Should be fine to use .5 oz for late addition for whatever time they describe, then use the other half oz for dryhopping.

i dont know what i like yet lol, if blonde ales arent usually dry hopped then i will steer away from it. trial and error finding what beer i like is very expensive lol

lol i am. i like some sam adams and had hoegaarden and liked that also. after drinking bad ass, sam adams and all the non twist offs, BL doenst taste so great anymore. the problem is i have no clue what to brew and what im going to like so this is going to be pretty expensive.
