Why is it that no matter how high the quality of beer, now matter how good it smelled or tasted in the glass, once it is dropped on the floor it smells like the morning after remnants of a Frat house kegger?

Yes, I especially like the next-morning-smell of un-rinsed glasses in the kitchen sink.
