Hey all, so I am gearing up for my maiden brew on the new single tier (show off thread coming soon:rockin
and there is only one more issue that is bugging me. On the water tests that I have done, the only spillage/leakage is from the end of the male camlocks attached to the ball locks on the drain and return ports after I remove the female, and while its only an ounce or two (basically just the liquid that is sitting in the length of the ball valve and camlock), but I can see it getting messy with hot wort in the mix.
So has anyone experienced this, and if so, what can I do to prevent it. I was thinking about closing the ball valve attached to the inlet on the pump to suck it out before cutting the pump off, but the little giant manual said only to restrict flow on the output side. This is my first time messing with pumps, so I am a little cautious, so thanks for the assistance!
