Does anybody know a current mini refrigerator that will fit a 6.5 gallon bucket fermenter with an airlock? I am fine with cutting out the door plastic, but I would prefer not to have to build a collar to extend it out.

Most dorm fridges have a compressor hump at the bottom. This makes it harder to fit a bucket fermenter. I shopped around on craigslist, and finally found an old GE fridge that worked -- cost me $25. There a few sanyo models that have tons of room inside. Also any wine fridge will definitely work if you remove the racks inside.

My Tatung 4.0CF I got off craigslist is good. I ran the temp probe to the Ranco up the drain. Placed an empty toolbox to level out where the compressor hump is. Also ran the power wires to a fan that I placed inside. Of course, I did have to cut out the door mold.

Run a blow off tube from the bucket into a bottle of sanitized water instead of using the CO2 lock, this will save yourself 3 inches in height and the tubing would cost you 1.50 (food for thought, may help increase what fridges you could use).
