I have one and am not sure if I need a 26mm or 29mm bottle. From what part do I measure the bottle top?

I don't know. You might compare it to a known bottle, or try to put even a used cap on it.

I've tried to compare it. The lip is definitely wider than other bottles. I'm afraid to break it by capping it.

My 12 fl. oz. Sam Adams bottles measure 26.6 mm at the widest point of the lip externally. I put 26 mm caps on them. What does your bottle measure?

You are asking how to determine what size bottle caps to use aren't you?

Yessir. Turns out it is 26mm. I capped one on the bottle to test it and happily glass didn’t break into my hand
