Got some Potent **** here, Orange Mandarin/Mead haha, about 2 month into Ferment Racked/Filter Bottled up boy does it Smell Potent...I wanna say its closer to 17-18% ABV haha, hoping this Jet Fuel "Hot" Character will age out etc

Yeah, I've got the same thing. I'm guessing you didn't do staggered nutrient additions either.

Oh well, it should be drinkable by 2025

I don't know about that long but yeah might take some good Time to Age out haha

The higher the ABV, the longer it takes to age out those "hot/fuel" flavors; but they do age out.
Regards, GF.

A good rule has been one month per % point. I've also noticed hotter, more jet fuel/rubbing alcohol smells and flavors with citrus, but that may just be my perception.

Staggered nutrient additions will help to prevent these flavors and aromas from developing, probably giving you a drinkable/enjoyable mead sooner.

Edited: silly question. Sorry. Nothing to see here. Move along.

Nearly all mead will be this way only 2 months into the ferment. Even 2 months into the aging. Simple advice: Let it age for at least a year.
