I know grape wines oxidize and go bad a few days after opening but i wanted to know if mead does to but its honey based and honey dosent expire does that change after fermention?

Traditional mead is very resistant to oxidation. It should be fine closed in the fridge for a few weeks.

All stated above is not true for fruit meads (melomels) or mead with hops. Those will oxidize rapidly.

Better brewing through science!

1+ loveofrose, traditional mead doesn't have a lot of things that can oxidize. As soon as you start adding other things, though, they can with greater ease. Anything with grains can also oxidize easily.
