This is just for my edification, and it could just be a big load of dregs, BUT...
I was watching an old ep of Mystery Science Theatre 3000 when they were reviewing "The Touch of Satan," in which (keeping this part short) some girls in the 1800s make a deal with the devil and become immortal.

Here is my point: They are in the care of some farmers who are cider brewers (Yaaaaaay!!! :ban: ). The old man says he uses "peanuts" (the sound quality is pretty bad, so it could be something else) to "even out the flavor."

Has anyone here heard of using peanuts, or any other beany/nutty additive to their cider brue that would do anything for their flavah?

Peanuts and Cider???
I made a Peanut Butter Porter earlier this year and it turned out to be my most popular beer so far.
And as a kid I used to dip apple slices into PB. This could be worth looking into.
I used to dip celery into PB too. Although that doesnt sound too appetizing...

I own "A Touch Of Satan".... That old coot was wayyy into that cider! I kept thinking he was trying to get the kid drunk so they could sacrifice him or something...LOL.

My wife & kids eat PB with apple slices all the time and celery too.You may be onto something with peanuts and cider
