I bought them but the more I research them I'm realizing this may not have been the best choice

They are not that bad I've used them in to smaller batches o beers, one was a one gallon pale ale and the next was 2.5 gallons of a brown ale. It would have been a pain to mix priming sugar or such small batches. The tabs carved everything pretty well by using 4 tab per bottle. No off flavors. I found I helped them carb quicker if I Flipped the notes once a week. Then after cold crashing the carbed bottles they were very clear. If I didn't cold crash I would have some white floaties from the tabs. I would use again for a small batch. Would not use for a 5 gallon batch, bottling is bad enough without adding 4 tabs to 50 bottles. Ugh, I will stick to my keg.

I used them once to bottle a batch of Apfelwein to be given out as Christmas presents. Used 2 Cooper's drops per 22 oz. bottle. It carbed up nicely and since I don't normally bottle I felt using drops instead of mixing priming sugar was much easier. They worked fine for me.

I've used them and had good success. I mostly keg now, but occasionally I'll want to bottle a 6 pack of whatever I made. So as soon as I keg (before carbing in the keg) I pour off 6 bottles worth and drop the tabs in.

My situation might be a bit different though. I usually let these bottles sit upwards to a year before i drink them, so I'm sure whatever needs to be eaten gets eaten. I don't have any chunks and my carbonation is good - if anything a little too carbed. But again, mine sit for a long while, so ymmv.

My bad, just noticed you were asking about Munton's but I responded about my experience with Cooper's carb drops. Sorry. :drunk:
