i think i am just going to get the one with the HEPA filter using air.. might take longer.. but i dont want to order from WB.. too damn expensive for the other things I want to bundle.

I thought about that, but... two minute aeration versus fifteen or twenty, I figure if I spend a couple more bucks, I won't regret it. It is a really good price for an O2 system, it's just too back everything else is so expensive.

The other thing that you could do, if you wanted to cobble together a wanded-O2 system, is to buy the regulator either there or somewhere else ($17 or $18 at Williams, usually around $22 elsewhere), a stainless steel aeration stone, a racking cane, and some tubing. Bet you could get something that worked just as well, wasn't much more expensive (if at all), but wasn't quite as slick looking.

I didn't get the fancy stiff wand as I put my o2 system together half baked. I first bought a 2 micron air stone from Morebeer for $17 (including shipping) and then later figured out with the air pump thing I was using it worked like crap and then I bought the regulator for the bernz tanks from Williams for $23.90.

From HD I bought line etc to bring it together. Mine is a flaccid insertion and sometimes it pops out of the wort but all and all works fine :D. My opinion is if the big boyz use pure O2, I may as well head in that direction as well.

Take a look at William's catalog. Equipment prices are in-line with anyone else's, but their selection is MUCH better. Grains aren't cheap.

Unfortunately I inherited 2 medical O2 tanks that I use exclusively to aerate worts over 1.060. I haven't the slightest idea of how I can get them refilled since I don't have a medical condition requiring it.

Most any place will refill it. O2 isn't controlled.
