I am on my 6th day in the primary and have read A LOT on primary vs. secondary, but I want to know if transfering to a secondary with this type of beer will really help it or not. If it really won't benefit this style of beer then I would rather keep it in the primary for (if I can wait that long) 2-3 more weeks. Any thoughts?

I believe Palmer quoted in "How to Brew" that usually below 1.060 you really wont get much out of a secondary. At the minimum it could improve color and clarity and if that's what you wont go for it. I go 1 week primary 1-2 weeks secondary and then bottle condition 2 weeks for ales.

I think you'll find here that most people primary for 3+ weeks. Then go to bottles or keg.

That is what I will probably do. The reason that I asked is because I have read that there are certain styles of beer that ferment better when racked to a secondary, so I wanted to know if this was one of those styles. Thanks everyone.
