Do i need to crush ?

Hi, i'm still new in homebrewing.

I already brew like 5 batch kit from AHS.

This time i bought ingredient to make a recipe from the forum.
I ordered 1lbs of carafoam. Do i need to crush it? If yes, how can i do that without a mill..

When i was brewing with kit and i had to steep grain, it came crushed but i forgot the ask to crush the carafoam in my order..

If you don't have a mill you can use a rolling in or a wine bottle...or this.

Some people even throw grains in a blender about 1/4 a pound at a time.

I did 3-4 pounds with a rolling pin once for PM before I got a Corona style mill. It was major PITA, slow and messy. You can do it faster in blender but I din't liked results of that

I think i will try the blender. next time i'll make my grain crushed or maybe buy a mill!
