fine...

I live by the mantra, ‘If I do it right, the yeast won’t know I’ve done anything at all’

I am the yeast dragon king, the alpha, the omega... Bwahahahaha!!!

Just kidding, who’s a good little fungi, you are, that’s who.

NOW MAKE ME BEER!

Sorry, sorry. Got carried away there

I’m just an Aspie chemist/ physicist.

Time to go, my Dogs want to play.

Welcome to HBT.
What's your brew setup - all grain? Extract? RIMS? BIAB?
What styles do you like to brew?

I’ve been brewing for over 40 years.

Never done extract. Don’t know what RIMS is. Used dunk bags long ago.

I grew up helping my grandma make moonshine from whatever was cheapest. Grapes, corn, rice, horse feed, crushed oats, etc.

Hillbilly’s, it’s a strange life.

Now I like making brown beer. Guess you could call them porters. Lots of wine and mead for the wife over the past 20+ years.

Stopped using recipes long ago, I find good ingredients and make something. Potential for failure keeps life interesting.

Edit: Recirculating mash, Yes, if I feel like setting up the mixer. I don’t use the pump method. Top mash mixers are less trouble. A motor and a paint mixer keeps things simple.
