DME or LME for starter?

Hi,
I was wondering if I could use LME instead of DME for a starter?

If so, are the quantities remains de same? Ex: 8oz DME = 8oz of LME?

No the quantities are the same because the LME contains some water, so it will be heavier for the same amount of sugar. But yes you can use either for a starter.

Multiply your DME requirements by 1.19 to get LME usage.
LME to DME is x.84
