DIY Tap Handles

Does anyone make their own tap handles? I have crafted a few, and they came out alright. A homebrewing friend asked me to make him a couple which I will. Up until now I have been harvesting parts from junky old tap handles or less desireable brands found at garage sales, etc.

If anybody out there is doing it, do you have a source for the hardware? I found the "hanger bolts" at Home Depot or online, but I am looking for finished brass or metal collars that attach the tap handle to the tap. Any ideas?

Those pieces are called ferrules. Google searching will turn up places you can buy them from.
