I am in the middle of my Stir plate build, and have questions about the magnets

I am using hard drive magnets and wonder do i use one magnet like or 2 magnets like i have pictured. Are there pros or cons to either? I like the idea of 2 because I feel would be easier to center and balance.

Thanks in advance

Greetings, Deadman, and welcome to HBT! :mug:

Classically, only one hard drive magnet is used, which has proved sufficient.
I'm not sure it'll be easier to balance two magnets versus one, plus doubling the mass seems intrinsically wrong, but vaya con Dios :)

Cheers!

Hope that doesn't over heat inside the box...

Not that I can tell so far. Besides, inside a closed box you would only be moving, cool, warm, warmer, hot and even hotter air, no chance of recirculating air from out side. And I think without the blades I have a reduced load. Worst case, I have plenty of replacement fans. :D
