Has anyone made or seen plans for a juice concentrator? I am interested in ideas for either freeze concentrators or vacuum/bell-jar concentrators.
I would love to be able to up the OG of cider without adding sugar, I don't need to get 3x concentration but reducing the water content by 15 or 20% would be wonderful.

After some research it looks like I can use most rotary a/c compressors (like the window a/c style) to create a decent level of vacuum. And I have also found that you can get water to boil at room temperature when pressure gets down to around 30 Pa. Unfortunately I have to learn more about vacuum science before starting any work on this project
Then I also have to tackle the evaporation portion of this. I know that boiling will produce water vapor but I don't want my flavor going with the water vapor, obviously I'd like to remove some of the water from the juice leaving the sugar and flavors behind. Anyone with distilling knowledge should be able to help me out here .. how do I go about this, or is it even possible? If not I will have to go the freeze concentrator route.
