hello
thought I would pick your brains a bit. I am getting ready to brew a Vienna lager and I am going over my water adjustment. thought I d see what you all think about it.
my grain bill
11 pds Vienna
1 pd caramunich 3
1 oz midnight wheat for color
4 gal mash 5 gal sparge

only adding salts to mash
2.7g gypsum
2.7g cacl
.8g lime

brun has me at ph 5.35

sounds right?
 
There is nothing wrong with 5.4 as a mash pH target. It is likely the most common mash pH target there is.
