I just went to dogfish head (just opened) to get punkin ale off tap. Asked the bartender if/when I could get the Sierra Dogfish collaboration Life & Limb on tap as it said it would be out in October on draft. He had never even heard of it. What??!?! How can you work at Dogfish and not have even been informed of this... Maybe I should just work there. Maybe get free growlers daily?

Bartenders frequently do not know when the brewer will release a beer, even at a brewpub, because the brewer hasn't decided.

And if I recall correctly, the two VA locations are just restaurants, not actual brewpubs. Not saying he shouldn't be taking a little pride in his employer, but it's probably just a pay check for him.

I went to the Falls church one last year for lunch and the bartender was EXTREMELY knowledgeable about beer. We discussed local area brew pubs and DFH beers. The dude was good, pretty good.

I've been in Rehobeth working for 3 weeks. I go there at least 2 times a week. I never really chatted up the bartenders, but the place is great. Even the grilled chicken ceasar is that good...
