I have a problem, the head on my beer disappears within 1-2 seconds of pouring. I am force carbonating, starting with a couple days at 30psi, a couple days at 20psi and then set to serving pressure of 10-12psi. If I bottle condition the same beer, I get great results, nice foamy head so I dont think it is the beer itself. Also, the first two days of force carbonation, I run the gas down the withdrawl side of the keg. Once poured, the head disappears almost instantly, but there are active bubbles rising from the bottom of the glass upward, so it seems (and tastes) like its carbonated. Anyone have any insight or wisdom about my predicament?

x2 on that. I just poured a beer that has been carbonating in the keg for nearly 3 weeks, but there was no head at all. I carbed it at 30 psi and rolled the keg around for 7 minutes and let it sit in the fridge for one week and then turned the pressure down to 7 psi for the past two weeks. Did I lose carb? I just turned it back up to 12 psi and will pour another glass in a little while to see if there's a difference or not.

if the beer is visibly carbonated and tastes carbonated but just has poor head retention, this is often due to the glassware being improperly cleaned. soap film and/or dishwasher rinse agent will kill head quickly.
