I just stripped down 2 ball lock kegs that I've never used before & found out the posts are not interchangeable!!!! After about an hour of cussing & kicking the dog! Now I have a couple poppets that are damaged, and a gas in tube that is damaged. How do i know how to order replacements? On morebeer.com they just have "ball lock gas in & liq out". It does not specify a diameter or style.

Am i crazy? or is there different size posts for ball locks? It looks almost cost effective to buy whole kegs instead of replacement parts...

Any suggestions?

yeah, i've got that down, my problem is evidently i have a firestone ball lock & a regular ball lock. I didn't really pay much attention before hand as i thought the parts were interchangeable.....NOT! I guess i'm not kegging today!!! Any ideas of a cheap place to buy posts & other parts?

I think there are 3 different kinds of ball lock. Northern brewer has all 3 kinds check out their website. I had the same problem recently, some things we have to learn the hard way.
