Did I mess up my cider

My brother and I Decided to try and make blueberry hard cider and added in blended blueberries through cheesecloth pre-fermentation. Did we mess up or is it supposed to look this gross, it has only been about 12 hours?

That looks like good, active fementation to me. The layer of krausen at the top will fall back down in a few days. Relax and be patient...
