I picked up a few pots on CL yesterday;

One aluminum 60 quart (15gal) pot, and one 40 quart (10gal) - with matching lids, for $80 total

I feel like I got a decent deal, but I'm having some buyer's remorse right now. I still have to buy a decent wort chiller, and turkey fryer :eek:.

How much are you guys buying your used/new alum pots for?

I paid $40 for my 40 quart aluminum pot new with no lid. How thick is it? Mine was 4 mil.

Some good pots @ samsclub.com
and these don't include lids

pots
60 qt = 73.88
40 qt = 56.12

lids
60 qt = 13.62
40 qt = 9.98
total = 153.61

So I'd say you did great

I didn't take any measurements, but my 40qt is pretty beefy and almost as thick as my 60qt pot. The lid on the 40qt is a lot nicer too. I think the big one is a smart and final brand.

So I maybe paid 50-60% off the original :mug: Sounds good.
