One of those hop stoppers looks like it would cause transfer problems rather than solve them. A fine mesh filter sitting low in the cone would more than likely become clogged with flocced yeast and trub to the point where you might not be able to get any flow from your racking port. This problem would be very difficult to fix without ruining the entire batch of beer. If you are following proper procedure you should not need anything special to transfer clear beer from your unitank. Make sure you are doing the following:

1. Orient the racking arm/tube so its opening is facing down towards the bottom of the fermenter during primary fermentation. This way yeast and trub wont settle inside the tube.
2. Cold crash for at least 72 hrs or more before transferring.
3. Never let the pressure drop in the unitank at any time during or after carbonation. Having the pressure drop in the unitank will cause CO2 to come out of solution. This will cause any of the settled material at the bottom of the fermenter to mixed back into your clear beer. This point alone might be the main source of your transfer problem.

Totally agree but you forgot the most important point:

4. Use that dump valve to dump anything that settles at the bottom of the cone so that there will be nothing that might clog the dip tube when you finally transfer.

If you don't do that then what's the point of buying an expensive conical?
