Can I just use Kroger distilled water or do I need to find deionized water?

If so, where?

I'm using a Hach Pocket Pro+ meter.

Hi Jiffster. I'm using distilled water I buy at Walmart on my new Pro+ meter like yours. I am going to follow your thread to see if I am making a mistake, but I haven't seen Deionized water in stores that I am aware of. Maybe I just overlooked it. From what I have read, distilled water can be substituted for deionized water for most practical purposes. I hope our use is one of those acceptable substitutions.

I bought some 4.01 and 7.01 cal solutions along with a bottle of protein specific cleaner from Hanna Labs. I have read that using this cleaner will extend the life of our probes.
