Hi I'm thinking of converting a 50s ish fridge, but I was wondering if I will have to defrost it if it wasn't originally a frost free model.
Thanks!!

Here are some fridges I'm considering

And of course I'd love to find a V-handle I can afford to convert, but I'm not holding my breath for one of those!

If it's not frost free, then yeah, you'll probably need to defrost it occasionally.

Of course, the frost is coming from warm, moist air hitting a cool surface. If you only open the door to change kegs and it sits in a conditioned space (not a hot garage) then that should be a minor issue. If you just put a picnic tap in there and open the door 3 times a night, then you'll be defrosting pretty regularly.
