Yesterday I found a four pack of cans from Hermit Thrush that cost 28 dollars. It was a BA sour saison that came from about 150 miles from where I wanted to purchase it. I did not buy this four-pack, but here are two things I bought for five dollars less than the cost of this four pack.

This first thing I bought was this:



This beer is very nearly perfect. I have had about 3000 different beers and I'd place this one in the top twenty or so. It is four years old. It traveled across an entire ocean to get to me. A large bottle of it cost 44% of what a four-pack of Hermit Thrust would cost.
 
Christmas in September. I guess I'm keeping it Michigan today.
