Transient Fervent (April 2015) Dry Hopped Saison

Herbal. Apple. Effervescent. Fruity.

Herbal and hop forward, mild bitterness, light tartness, moderately dry with a huge amount of carbonation (highly recommend chilling throughly as it tried gushing), light funk and apple / light fruit esters dominate the yeast character. Good but I much preferred Hop Drink for my funky hoppy Transient.

Willett Family Reserve Bourbon 11 & 13 Year

After a great mid year review and successfully dealing with a tricky HR problem I felt an 11 / 13 year side by side was a worthy treat.

11year: herbal, mint, spice, citrus.

13year: cinnamon, Vanilla, oak, richness.

Hard to pick a favorite and glad I picked up a few Willett bottles before prices spiked. If I was forced to pick I would choose the 13 Year as I enjoy the flavor of long aged whiskey, but both are fantastic.

The winner of the LIF is... buzzword ! shelf_turd_ferguson is a good dude and wanted to hook another good dude up, which is how buzzword won with random number 63. buzzword i will be in touch about sending you a Vignerrone, some of my hoppy homebrew and some treehouse plus probably some random stuff.
