2012 Expy...so nice with age.

The other half of the bottle went into this:

Kitchen Sink Chili: ground lamb, ground bison, ground turkey, chicken breasts, chipotle peppers, sweated white & red onions, carmelized orange bell pepper/shrooms/garlic, diced & stewed maters, low-sodium black & pinto beans, chili powder, smoked paprika, cumin, dash of S&P.

We'll see. Hopefully it doesn't suck.

Cheers!

If I'm being picky: Fruit-forward, good/light carb, but downfall is that it's turning slightly acetic, above and beyond the natural tartness of the berries. Really enjoy this beer, but have had better luck with 750s. Can't complain though.

I've yet to find a better stout for aging. Got a 2007-2013 vertical for Christmas a few years ago and it was incredible.

Don't think I've ever had anything from these two breweries. This is really nice, was kinda turned off by the Earl Grey tea addition but it works well. Tastes like bitter chocolate with a touch of vanilla/tannins and slight fruitiness at the end. Could have sworn this was barrel aged.
