Almost a bbq quality to the nose, but taste is a peat freight train. Low-ish iodine, lots of dirt and brine. How the F are those "qualities" attractive? But it's delicious.

After a multitude of tries, I simply cannot get behind British cask ales.

GetchaPull The Black Cat had a few different Octomores when I was there last June, and several different Ardbegs. Make sure you venture away from Bow Bar and make it to The Hanging Bat for beer, but they have very little whisky, mostly gin.
Additionally, try some Kilchoman at the Bow Bar, I highly recommend the port cask!!! Sherry cask is good too. If you like the Octomores, try the 7.4 Virgin Wood, all peat and some vanilla.

Writing a lecture now, but think I might have to pull out an Octomore 6.3

NE IPA made in Germany here (A Quick One While She's Away by Fuerst Wiacek). I liked it a lot. Spoke to the brewer about it, I believe he said it's all Citra/Mosaic.

Thank you. By a stroke of sheer luck they were close to shore and were taken to one of the top hospitals in Panama with some Yale and Harvard trained docs working on him. Thy had him on the table within 30 minutes putting in 3 stents. Crazy ****. He's stable now but can't travel for a few weeks due to blood clot risk.
