Are they able to get Oat Malt? I might be interested in taking 30# if anyone else is interested.

Hey Mike, I've been looking for Oat Malt myself. Only few places stock it and shipping kills the deal, mostly.

I've found Ritebrew.com to be the best source so far, price and shipping wise, very doable for 20-30 pounds. I haven't ordered yet, it's been in my basket for a while, there's always other stuff I like to order with it.

Alternatively, I guess we could order a sack through Maryland Homebrew.

That said, I would be interested in it too if we can get it through here, I'll take the balance of 25#.

Hey guys - just joined; this will be my first buy. As a point of clarification, if a split is not fully claimed, is it still purchased and 3 Stars takes the rest for their HBS? Or are all split orders where all 55 lb are not fully claimed simply tossed?

If the split isn't fully claimed, it's not ordered. When we get close to the buy closing, there will be a push to get the splits that are close to get closed.

You could do that, or you could close a bunch of splits and figure out what to brew later. I mean, they’re called specialty malts. Making a beer with 100% specialty malt must mean that it’s really special.

Now it is fully insulated with heat and air conditioning, exhaust fan, floor drain, hot and cold running water, 40" TV, and all the wiring for my EBIAB system. Whew..... Looking forward to it! I was worried the pickup would be set for 2/3, and I’ve got a running race that morning.

Now - I’ll make my plea to get the smoked malt split ended. If you haven’t tried a rauchbier, it’s definitely unique. It’s worth making at least once!
