I couldn't tellIt's cold in Minnesota
I'm in Group D and considering using Uber from my sons apartment in River North. Looking to leave for FFF between 11 and 12 and return between 8 and 9. Hoping to find a couple of guys to coordinate riding with to share cost. Contact me if interested.yikes, the hotel situation. anyone know if there are waitlists at the Hampton/the marriotts? never had a problem getting one of the Marriott locations this far out before :-/
also, has anyone uber'd to/from DLD before - what's it like? (also, ugh, particularly late - grp E this yr...)

Have you considered taking the Jak's Tap shuttle? They have hourly departures between 8am and 1pm, and hourly returns between 1pm and 11pm, for $27.37 out the door. You can Uber between River North and Jak's Tap in West Loop for probably $8-9 each way, bringing your transportation total to $45ish. Ubering to/from Munster, on the other hand, would probably run you around $150-200 roundtrip with surge pricing. Plus you can't drink in an Uber, but there's generally quite a bit of bottle sharing going on on the shuttles.I'm in Group D and considering using Uber from my sons apartment in River North. You mean like this:Any beer is appreciated. The number one thing that irks me is when people think their beer isn't good enough (not specifically calling you out ChicagoGuy, it happens ALL THE TIME). DLD is great time for newbs and veterans alike regardless of the beer you're bringing. If someone turns down a pour don't take offense to it. Some people use DLD to measure their beer dick and others use it as avenue to share beer and spend time with friends. Sometimes those two overlap and it's great. Just show up with beer and have fun.
True. Uber gives me a little more flexibility in case the weather sucks, but that comes at a cost. Probably going to go with the Jaks bus. I heard it is pretty reliable and they are close to where my son lives.Have you considered taking the Jak's Tap shuttle?
