Damp keezer fix / diaper

Now that the humid season is upon us, I may not be the only one to have a slight puddle in the bottom of the keezer. After finding a stray pack of leftover baby diapers in the bathroom closet, I had an idea. Now I toss one in the wet corner of the keezer and leave it there to do its magic. Those things can suck up an incredible amount of liquid.

edit: yea damp rid likely would work better, but these were in stock.

Let me tell you about humidity, puddles and baby diapers. I helped my sister move to Jacksonville, Fl. last year and that place was nasty humid. I had to move heavy crap up a flight of stairs to her new apartment in 90some degree weather and maximum humidity. Well, I ended up getting the biggest swamp ass ever and I've never lived it down.

Great idea Wilserbrewer. They do absorb a crapload of water and you could just reach down and grab it with some BBQ tongs. Nice!

Damp Rid, even with a fan to circulate air, is only minimally effective for me. The majority of the moisture still condenses on the walls.

I never found damp rid to work very well either. I usually just throw some paper towels in when I get tired of looking at the moisture at the bottom. Diapers isn't a bad idea. I guess you could cut the elmo pictures off the top to make it look less crazy. I've been trying to think of a good way to elevate the kegs, like a false bottom, so the water can puddle down by the keezers drain and away from my bottles and kegs.

ordered a eva dry 500, seems to keep my fermentation freezer dry. re-usable too, just plug it in overnight when it gets "full" to evap the liquid out (every few weeks).
