My kegerator took a dive on me so I decided to build a Keezer. Here's my build thus far.

Found this 2010 10 cubic foot frigidaire for $50.00 on Facebook Market. Heck yea!

Started off by slapping a 2 X 10 collar on this puppy about $20.00 bucks from lows. locktite construction glue and sealer and I used 4 small L brackets to attach it with small screws. Probably not the smartest move in hind sight with cooling lines and all; oh well I lucked out looks like the previous owner lucked out with the lock on there too.

The next thing I did was use 1 X 2 to build a frame the same size as the bottom. On this model freezer there was a metal frame on the bottom held on by 8 screws two on each corner I took it off and it had 4 long slots in each corner I use flat head wood screws and attached it to the wood frame. I then put 4 3 inch locking wheels all from lowes about $30.00.

At this point I decided I needed to get rid of the top to hide the stickers so I'm not mistaken for a druggy. I bought butcher block top and used 1 X 2 to frame it $40.00 lowes.

I decided to hide the 2 X 10 with very thin stainable plywood 40.00 for 2 big sheets. I used locktite construction glue and sealer and finishing nails to attach it to the 2 X 10.

Next I used the leftover plywood and glued it right to the freezer with the locktite. I also got some trim $50.00 and just glued it on with the locktite.

Used base board trim on the top and bottom glued and nailed using finishing nails being careful to only nail wood to wood.

Next I filled all the cracks in the wood, nail holes, and screw holes with minwax stainable wood filler it goes on like caulk. Let it dry and sanded it then stained it. $20.00

At this point I decided I better cut the holes for the temperature control and the beer faucets in case I needed to fix and stain anything. Which did happen because the thin plywood tore up around the holes some.

Next I used minwax polyurethane high gloss sealer and applied 3 coats sanding in between each with 220 grit. I also put all the hardware on. Purchased on Amazon $200.00.

Next I wired up the temperature control using 16 gauge extension cord from ace $15.00 I got the clear ends that light up to see where power is running. The temperature control is the Docooler[emoji768] Digital Temperature Controller Thermocouple with Sensor (-58~194°F) 10A 110V on Amazon $16.00. I put it all in a 4 X 4 inch junction box from ace $12.00 its water proof.

Next I called a local computer repair store and asked if they had used cheap muffin fans I could buy the owner just gave them to me I asked for 2 he gave me 4. The blue one didn't work until I pulled back the sticker on to took out the rubber stopper and PB blasted it after that I did the rest for good measure. Then I used some old wire I had laying around and an AC to DC converter 12 volt 2 amps the fans only pull 1.5 amps all together so this was perfect and free. I did buy dryer duct work for the fan to attach to from ace $30.00. I'm pulling cold air up and blowing air down.

The next step was installation I just used old packing striofoam from something I ordered over the holidays and the metal duct tape. Used the locktite to adhere it.

Put the kegs and stuff in I already had 2 kegs from my previous set up. The local HBS had one for $20.00 they were trying to unload so picked it up. I also purchased one that's in the mail for $35.00 from brewing adventures. I picked up the 333 Eva Dry for $20.00 from ace to stop condensation.

I purchased the Yellow Jacket Surge protection because it is supposed to detect faulty wiring and outside surges so I don't burn my house down. It works with 15 amp 120 volt and I am pulling 7 amps with the fans. It's working well.

I did nothing to the back.

Oh I also sealed all the cracks as I went with silicone weather proofing sealer.

I bought a 2 nipple co2 regulator with 2 gauges from amazon for $70.00 that's arriving Monday I'll put more pics up after I run the gas lines, and beverage lines with a price point for what they cost this week after I finish.

$613.00 and counting but it's badass.

My test have reviled that the Keezer
Cycles on at 40.8 for 2 min;
Cycles off at 39;
Cools down to 36.3 no compressor before rising;
Compressor comes on at 40.8 degrees at 31 min;
It's set at 39.0 degrees.
I hope that's normal.

I NEED A BEER!
