How will pickup be arranged? Are we all meeting there at the same time or everyone just coming on their time and picking up the grain they bought?

I wont be able to go over there today unfortunately. I wouldn't be able to pick it up until after work tomorrow or during lunch on Thursday.

I am waiting to hear from Teal. As soon as I get a copy of what everyone ordered we can setup pick up times. As far as I am concerned people can come by when ever I am here. The grain will be stored in a locked warehouse.

Since we are talking about a warehouse, can I assume that I can pull in there with a 53' trailer? Were in DFW are we talking?

F yeah!

Stupid supplier never even told me it shipped.

I hope the total cost was right, never even got an invoice...

Well anyways, Joel, do you mind if everyone picks up there during business hours?

Alright guys, since the grain arrived a little early we are working on details of pickup.

Joel (jhw_murphy) has been nice enough to offer to hold the grain and handle the distribution, so please PM or email me or him for the address so we don't put his address on the web. His business is in Garland, and as per his previous post please pickup during business hours.

I am headed over tomorrow at 10AM to break down the pallet and get piles going for each brewer.

I still have yet to see a total price for the buy, so I hope they charged me correctly...

If anyone needs special requests for pickup, please let me or Greg know. He will have a copy of the list tomorrow.

I will process the refund for the 3 people who wanted starsan tonight when I get home.

Other than that, cheers everyone! We did it!

I will start a thread for buy #2 in the next few weeks or so, since there has been some interest since this buy closed. I will probably be set for about 6 months.

Thanks Tealio and JHW for doing this! You rock!

You know, tealio, JHW will have an overrun PM box in no time since it looks like he's not a premium member.

Do you have the e-mail addresses of purchasers and would you be able to email an address?

TXCurtis can you pick up my three bags of two row for me. Im In Breckenridge at the moment!

Ryanweary and Flomaster- I just sent the refund for the Starsan that we removed from this buy.

Jhw_murphy - I'll have yours in cash when I come by the shop tomorrow.

All sacks are accounted for and everything is looking smooth. Pickup and celebrate!

Got the refund tealio - thanks for that.

Picked up my grains yesterday - big thanks to Joel for letting us use his dock!

Now, let's get brewing!

Picked up mine and deuce's today.

Good god the car smelled awesome some hours later when i left work.

When's the next buy? I just got a mill and could use a bag of 2-row...
Also anyone perhaps interested in splitting up bags of specialty? Perhaps crystal would be good... a few varieties split 10 ways is 5# each per type...

Next round if someone is interested in coordinating splits of specialty grain I'd be on board for same.

I haven't got a clue when next buy will be, but I would guess maybe in a couple months unless there are a bunch of brewers that didn't get into this buy.

I would be cool with some specialty splits next time, we could decide on 5 or so and split 10 ways.

Next buy will be a 41 sack pallet so we can get the starsan that we dropped from this buy.

Does everyone think we should go ahead and post a round two, even though it may be months before it fills?

I would be in for 3-5 bags plus specialty splits. It couldn't hurt to through up a new thread and see how many people are interested. Did you all end up paying the 2,000-4,000 lb price or the under 2,000 lb price?

I'm out on this one - I've got 150#'s of grain at home now - I need to brew! I don't even think I'd go through 150#'s in a few months....I'd be on board for the group buy after this one again probably.
