For reasons I can't explain, I did a plain cider for 4 weeks in primary and then added honey when racking to secondary. I hit it with campden and then a day later re-pitched yeast. Will this work?

When I make Revenge, which is a blackberry melomel, I ferment the berries, then rack it and mix in the honey. It reduces the trub by a large margin.
