I'm trying to make my own beer gun like in the sticky above, but how do u cut the racking cane at an angle without chewing it up?
 
Mine is cut square at both ends.
I don't think the angle is necessary.
I haven't been using the stopper, either.

To cut the plastic cane, use a fine-tooth saw.
 
I tried a dremel once and ended up melting the end. Found the hack saw cut right through it.
 
I use bits of racking cane all the time, for bottling bucket dip tubes and such. I use a fine blade jeweler's saw blade. Then I sand it with a fine grit wet/dry sponge.
