Custom recipe: Why bitter?

As I still had some hops from a Red IPA, and a Leffe Clone, based on feedback from some friends

First taste is great, then it gets a bit sour/bitter.
I am still learning, not sure where this is coming from? is it the grains, or the hops?

Sour and bitter are two very different flavors with completely different sources. Its difficult to diagnose beers without tasting them but its impossible if the descriptions aren't standard for beer evaluation.

I don't know where in the world you are, but you might see if you can join a homebrew club and see if they can help you identify what's going on. Or enter a competition, so you'll get the feedback from two judges about what they think is going on.

FWIW, if its sour, its likely a wild yeast or sanitation issue. If its bitterness, its likely hops. If its astrigency or tannins, that could be grain or sparging related.
