Does anyone have a creative way to filter wine/mead to remove slight traces of yeast residue? I have tried Mr Coffee filters but the wine does not flow through it. Any suggestions are appreciated.

To remove yeast completely, you need a 0.5 or 0.3 micron filter. It takes pressure to push the fluid through that fine a filter.

Cold crashing. Get it nice and cold -- below 40F -- and leave it there for a couple of weeks. Everything that's going to settle, will settle.

Centrifugation will also work. If you can't spin it at high speeds, you'll have to spin it for a long time.

Good luck!

What he said. :)

A 0.5 micron filter will remove 99% of the yeast. You'll need a transfer pump or gas (e.g., nitrogen) pressure.
