wow that's a price tag.
Good or bad? I thought it was a steel since it came with everything.
I built mine which is very similar to that one for much less. That is including keggles/stainless everything/burners/materials/etc.. That was starting from nothing. Granted, I built the legs and perches by hand so if welding is an issue then you need to factor that in or look at using something that is able to be bolted togethar. I think the pics below are right but I can't see anything from Photobucket while in the office. 
All in all if you don't want the hassle of piecing it togethar and don't have the means to "build" one then it may be viable but I would try to get him down into the $500 range... Just my two pennies.
