So I invested a total of about $90 into a CP bottle filler (45 for the CP, $20 for the tube kit, and and extra $15 for additional pin lock/tubing). I have been trying and trying this thing without success. I get how it works. Shut off all valves. Open the gas to pressurise the bottle. Shut off the gas. Open the beer line (here's where the trouble starts), and open the bleed valve to release the gas and start filling the bottle. So my issue is that once I open the beer line, the beer starts to flow even though it should not due to the equal pressure. My theory is that when I shut of the gas valve, the gas is still going from the CO2 tank to the keg, which is pushing out the beer, leaving me with a bottle of foam. Because of this, I tried shutting the valve off at the CO2 tank, but that didn't work either. Also I noticed that even my tubing was full of foam. Not sure if this is because of my 10 ft of 1/4ID tubing? Any ideas where I'm going wrong? Getting frustrated and wasting a lot of good beer.

Also, because I now have a six pack of half filled flat beer, can I put this back into the keg and get it re-carbonated?

sounds like something is going wrong with your pressurization of the bottle with the CO2. even if the CO2 is connected to the keg, the keg and the bottle should be at equal pressure, so the keg shouldn't be able to push any beer in.
