I see a lot of outside brew stands but nothing for the counter top for an electric system. So I just built this counter top stand for my eBIAB system. I might tweak a couple things but the basic idea is there. Just used 2x4 and cement board for the top which is water and heat resistant. I might put some bathroom tile on there to make clean easier.

I like the idea of the tile. I used my new stand yesterday and thought I should do something for the spills

The tiles make clean up super easy. Just a quick wipe and it's clean. I used basic bathroom tile, I was about to get fancy and but marble but it was literally 8 times more

What's the device hanging off the arm? Flatscreen brew controller?

It's a tablet I run the brew boss app and control everything from it.

Any issues with steaming up the place?
Theres gunna be....might even get some drips coming off that popcorn ceiling. I would say theres no fan going in with the hoist touching the ceiling. I brew without a fan but leave a window open and the door in warmer weather. That almost looks like a basement that usually have minimal and small windows...I could be wrong, wouldnt be the first time ;)

I have a small fan running level with the top of the kettle and a window or door open about 15 feet away on the other side. the steam hasn't created any condensation on the hoist so I'm thinking it never makes it to the ceiling. Totally different story without the fan, I tried a wet run (boil for 15) and the kitchen started to feel like a sauna. Yeah that's my small kitchen! But the cool thing about this is you could place it anywhere there's power, my wife would kill me if it sat there all the time. I take it in and from the shed on brew days.
