Is there a consensus on Corona bottles? They are obviously glass clear.. not brown or green.

Someone just offered to collect them for me. I'd assume that I'd have to keep them in a darkened box to use them?

What say ye???

Perfectly good bottles if kept out of direct light.

Of course, if you're wanting to go "A-La-St. Pauli Girl" and get a little skunk...they work great as well.

They will work just fine althhough they are clear. Keep em covered and use them. I had about a half of a case when I started brewing and have phazed them out over time.

I like to use a couple of clear bottles per batch so I can see the clarity and the yeast collection on the bottom... I guess so I can just feel slightly involved during the aging/carbing process lol

Same here. I like to see how bad a job I did at transferring to the bottling bucket. I also do week 1, 2 and 3 tests for carbonation and mouth feel to taste the journey so to speak.

They work fine as others have said, just keep in the dark. The only PITA I found with them is the neck is so long and skinny that my bottling wand had trouble coming out and going in smoothly so I made a mess on some (touching the sides). And they're much taller than the rest of my bottles so don't fit in cases well ;)

I have a feeling we will be seeing more use of clear and green bottles as there are new ways to protect your beer from light.
