I just got a couple ball lock Cornies and started my cleaning.

When i filled it with water and Oxyclean and started shaking it, the water would leak out of the top. I havent replaced any of the rings yet, but is this normal? I assume that you need the gas pressure to keep the lid tight anyway.

What is the best way to scrub the bottom of the inside? My arm isnt that long.

Can the lids go on any way, or can they be flip 180 degrees and not matter? One way seemed a little tighter.

No, that's not normal. You should get a pretty good seal without pressure. You should remove all the o-rings before you clean; especially if you plan to replace them.

Hopefully, it's just the o-ring that is bad. If not, I might be the feet on the handle.

Try adding a few lbs of pressure and some keg lube.
Scrub with a (dedicated) toilet brush.
