I have a pale ale ingredients for 5 gal batch. I thought of adding some coriander seeds to it because I like the flavour of it very much.

first question is would it be ok to use it in pale ale style?

second question is how much of it and when to add it to the boil? or in the fermentor?

There is a belgian pale-ale style but i doubt thats what your making. it won't be to american pale-ale "style" but who gives a rats ass about style, we are homebrewers right?

As far as Belgian wits are concerned, coriander is added between 15 or 5 minutes left in the boil. If you only want flavor, maybe add it around 30-15 min left in the boil.

Try looking in the database under Belgian and French Ale for more ideas
