Right now, my 3-keg system uses a copper tube, hand-bent down to the bottom with a stainless braid.
I'm building a copper ring manifold and something profoundly simple is stumping me.
If you pre-build a manifold, how do you screw it into the coupling inside the keg? Is there some sort of joint or quick-release fitting you can use?
I obviously cannot rotate it.

There are three traditional types of connections you can use.
Compression fitting.

Flare.... tricky, requires tools:

Threaded union.

this is soft copper. So how about the stainless compression fitting but use o-rings inside for the seal?

will o-rings survive long in the mash tun temps?

Yes, a stack of two or three orings in place of the sleeve/ferrule works great and it seals with hand tightening. I believe they also have unions with one side being a sweat-on sleeve. This would be much cheaper than a stainless compression. Also, you could easily sweat on a male adapter as an alternative.
