I made a 3/8" copper IC, the copper is not the bright shiny stuff one normally sees. What is the proper procedure to clean the copper and make it shiny???

My IC was the same way. I cleaned it with Oxyclean and sanitized before using it which didnt make it shiny but after I put it in my boiling hot wort it somehow cleaned up.

they do make a product/chemical i beleive its caled staybrite or somthing to that effect. I use it at work primarily when brazing and soldering, although most of my copper lines arent exposed, they're insulated. The chemical is a dipping agent and after you dip it you rinse. also you could just sand it with emery cloth and you get a shiny appearence
