Cooler Thermometer Installation

I'm looking to put in an analog thermometer into the side of my cooler MLT. I'm sure there are threads about this but I couldn't find one through my search. If someone could point me in the right direction I would really appreciate it, I figure it can't be too difficult to do. Thanks!

its a 10 gallon rubbermaid, not a square cooler.

If you were looking at a really long probe I think you could go in through the top of the lid as well.
