ok so quick question about the cool brewing fermenting bag. What is the lowest temp. you all have reached when using frozen water bottles?? The lowest I’ve reached was 52 degrees F with a one gallon frozen bottle and two 2 liter frozen bottles.

Been a while but I recall getting to the upper 40’s using three or four frozen bottles.

I no longer use one but when I did, in the winter, I was able to get to 48 a few times but had to switch the frozen jugs out more than twice a day. 55-58 was pretty easy.

Have you tried using salt water in the jugs? You'll probably need to cycle more bottles through your freezer because they'll take longer to freeze, and you'll need to tailor your salt to water ratio based on how cold your freezer gets, but salt water freezes much colder than regular water so it should allow you to get your fermenter colder than regular ice jugs would. Check this graph to see how much salt to add by mass.

Oh ok because I’m trying to see if it’s possible to lager in one of these bags
You will not be able to get to traditional lagering temps with a bag I’m my opinion. Though it did not stop me from making a Pilsner using one. It came out fine but could have been better if I could have gotten lower temps.

I have since purchased a chest freezer for this function.
