Converting Kegs to a Keggle Question

I am going to take my 2 half barrel kegs to my friend that is a welder to cut the tops out of them. I am going to use one as Keggle and the other as a Hot later tun.

What do you guys suggest for the Size of the hole I want to get cut. I want one slightly larger than the other so I can use the top of the bigger one as a lid for the other to keep flies out of my wort..

Look forward to hearing any suggestions.

fwiw, consider running down to WallyWorld and picking up a couple of 12" pot lids (the metal-rimmed glass ones) for small money and have both holes cut to fit 'em...
